Ballarat Botanical gardens are just down the road from Olympic rings & War memorial on the shores of Lake Wendouree
Established in 1858 this lovely 40 hectare garden is full of towering Californian Redwood trees, cypresses, Turkeys oaks & Weeping elms planted between 1863 & 1874
It's one of Australia's oldest & finest gardens
