The iconic memorial cross situated on Mt Macedon has a colourful history.
Dedicated in 1935 in memory of those who lost their lives in World War 1, the building of the cross also provided employment during the depression.
Due to damage during the Ash Wednesday fires in 1983 the Cross was rebuilt in 1994
On a clear day you can see Melbourne from top of Mt Macedon
