Grandstand was built for the 1899 Easter Sports. This stand was restored in 1900/1991 & with access
to the original building plans, the stand is now as near as practicable to the original
Memorial Gates, designed & built at the local G.Kay & Co foundry & were erected in 1903 to commemorate those who served in the Boer war
